Health care concerns continue to take center stage

Posted: Updated:

As Nebraska's elected officials meet with constituents during fall recess, health care concerns continue to take center stage.

U. S. Senator Deb Fischer says the questions and concerns about ObamaCare are endless.

She says constituents are worried about everything from rising premiums to pre-existing condition restrictions.

Humana, one of the largest health insurers in the United States, has announced it's dropping out of Nebraska's health insurance exchange as of December 31st of this year.

"We even have unions now that are against it," says Fischer.  "The Teamsters Union has come out and said this isn't going to be good for their employees and it's not good for their members, because they're not going to have as good of insurance as they had before."
