Scottsbluff man found guilty on meth charge

Posted: Updated:

A Scotts Bluff County judge has found a Scottsbluff man guilty on meth charges.

27-year-old James Halstead faced a bench trial yesterday, after being arrested during a bust conducted by the WING Drug Task Force.

Police had received numerous complaints that Halstead had been dealing meth out of his home on Avenue I. In April, they searched his home and found methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Judge Leo Dobrovolny found Halstead guilty on both charges that he faced. Sentencing for this case has been set for mid-October.
