Five Browns perform for hundreds of students at Midwest

Posted: Updated:

Next month, a group of pianists will headline at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

But before they travel east, "The Five Browns" will entertain crowds in Scottsbluff.

Five pianos, fifty fingers and one great night of live music is how the Midwest Theater is kicking off its performing arts season.

This afternoon, the five brothers and sisters held a preview show for more than 400 students.

They ran through some classical numbers that wowed those in attendance.

"I thought it was great," said student Brooklyn Peterson from Morrill Elementary. "I really liked it."

Teacher at Morrill Elementary, Anne Jacobsen, shared her excitement as well.

"I thought it was great. The musicians are very talented. They went to the Julliard School of Music so of course they're fantastic. Can't imagine how many hours they put in practicing. But The Midwest is great inviting kids out and giving us free concerts and exposing the children to things they'd never see otherwise. I thought it was awesome."

The "Five Browns" concert starts at 7:30 tomorrow night for the public.

Tickets are still available.
