Panhandle bikers ride for Make A Wish foundation

Posted: Updated:

Motorcyclists rumbled through the panhandle today all for a good cause with the 'Make A Wish' foundation.

The Scottsbluff-Gering Eagle Riders hosted a benefit memorial for 'Make A Wish' foundation in honor of Michael Todd of Scottsbluff.

Michael died earlier this year at the age of 28.

Friends say Michael became a wish giver at the age of five for the foundation.

Today, bikers stopped in Bridgeport, Sidney, Kimball and Gering to fulfill Michael's wish; raising money for one family who helped him when he was younger.

"The young man died at a young age, 28 years old," said biker Lance Cline. "Just passed away this year and we're just paying it forward. That's what he pretty much just wanted to do was give a wish to somebody else. We're doing this for Michael Todd."

Michael's family came to the memorial event from Colorado.

"People have all come together in memory of Michael." Says his mother Linda Todd. "We are just absolutely elated about this event."

Friends and family say Michael was a huge Husker fan who also enjoyed shooting pool and karaoke.
