Snow downs trees, power lines

Posted: Updated:

Crews were busy today clearing the roads of not only snow, but many fallen tree branches.

As of this afternoon, there were more than 30 reports of trees and branches falling into roads and power lines all over town.

At the height of the storm, Nebraska Public Power District says there were ten reported outages in Scotts Bluff County.

Nebraska Public Power Officials advise that anyone who comes in contact with a downed power line to stay away, and immediately report it to the NPPD.

They say any downed line should be treated as if it were live, and should be left alone for trained utility workers to take care of.
