Jury finds Scottsbluff man guilty in brutal attack

After more than three hours of deliberation, a Scotts Bluff County jury has found a man guilty of beating another man with a bat-like object in a Scottsbluff alley earlier this summer.

28-year-old Roy Little Eagle was convicted on one charge of 2nd Degree Assault.

During today's testimony, it was determined that on June 23rd, Little Eagle got out of a car, beat a man with an wooden, bat-like object, and then left. 

The victim testified this morning, and says that it was Little Eagle who attacked him and "I'll never forget that face."

The jury heard testimony all morning, and began deliberation shortly before 1:30 p.m. At approximately 4:45, the jury came back with the guilty verdict.

Sentencing has been set for November 22nd at 3:30 p.m. Little Eagle is facing up to 20 years in prison.
