Trick-or-Treat Street coming to downtown Scottsbluff

Posted: Updated:

Business owners in downtown Scottsbluff are getting ready for 'Trick or Treat Street'.

People are invited to dress in their best Halloween attire, and go store–to–store, trick–or–treating for goodies on Halloween.

Merchants in downtown Scottsbluff host the event each year.

Owner of Sam and Louie's, Melissa Schneider says the event offers a safe trick–or–treating alternative in a centralized area.

"Oh gosh, they'll see a little bit of everything," says Schneider.  "There's always so many kids.  I've brought my kids down several times and there's all kids of different costumes, and businesses to visit and it's a really fun, safe place to go trick or treating."

People visiting Sam and Louie's during the ‘Trick or Treat Street' event on Halloween evening will receive a free kids mean with every purchase of $12 or more.

"It's family oriented," says Manager Lynell Pahl.  "It's a fun atmosphere.  We have all kinds of little activities that kids can play with."

Next Thursday, November 7th, a number of Scottsbluff's downtown businesses will open their doors to the public from 5-7 for a holiday season open house.
