BMS students sell more than 40,000 doughnuts in Krispy Kreme fundraiser

Scottsbluff middle school students broke a record this year... in doughnut selling.
Glazed goodies stacked the halls of Bluffs Middle School Saturday morning and people lined up out the door to pick up the sweet treats they purchased in the Bluffs Middle School Krispy Kreme doughnut fundraiser.

Fundraiser organizer and 7th grade teacher Carolyn Escanilla says the fundraiser was a huge success this year.

She said students worked so hard selling doughnuts that they broke a school record, selling more than 40,000 doughnuts.
She says all that money will go right back into the school.

"Bluffs Middle School students sold a record 3,360 dozen doughnuts. The money is used to fund extra activities in school. Up day activities, encouragement day activities, just things the district isn't able to cover."
Donuts can be picked up Monday for those who missed the pick up day Saturday.

After Monday, the leftover doughnuts will be sent to the local food pantry and youth shelter.
