Legacy of Plains Museum unveils new logo

It's the start of a new era for one KOTA Territory museum, as it unveils a new logo.

The Legacy of the Plains Museum board and marketing committee members have unveiled the new logo, which features a Conestoga wagon and tractor, above of the North Platte River.

The logo was designed by Michaela Merrigan Pariseau, an independent graphic designer who grew up on a farm 10 miles northeast of Scottsbluff.

The Legacy of the Plains marketing committee and board provided input on logo drafts. Three possible logo designs were test marketed.

Legacy of the Plains Executive Director Katie Bradshaw says the committee was very receptive to the new logo.

"We did do some market research with this logo and with actually a couple of versions of possible designs. This was the logo that people without knowing who we were, they knew what we were about." Said Bradshaw.

Funding for logo development was provided by a tourism marketing grant from the Nebraska Tourism Commission.

The Legacy of the Plains Museum is the result of the consolidation of the old Farm and Ranch Museum and North Platte Valley Museum.
