The ObamaCare website site is once again open for business, following a brief shut–down over the holiday weekend., the federal health exchange site, has undergone some critical updates.

CAPWN's Chante Truscott says the site is much easier to use.

A new waiting cue alerts people by e-mail when the website is ready to take their application so they're not stuck waiting at their computer if the site is overwhelmed with traffic.

Truscott says another nice new feature is that people can see how much a plan costs without subsidies.

Her advise to people that may have tried to register in October and were unsuccessful?

"Definitely go back and visit the website with all of the changes that have been made," says Truscott.  "There have been positive changes, positive feedback.  If you haven't heard anything, just go back in or reapply or restart the application because that's a new feature: you're able to start an application you were maybe not able to finish."

Consumers have until December 23rd to get payments made to have coverage begin on January 1st.
