Tapia receives jail time for cocaine, marijuana possession

A Denver man who was caught with marijuana and cocaine was sentenced to jail time this morning.

33–year–old Manuel Tapia will serve up to ten-years in prison after being found guilty on one count possession of cocaine and one count possession marijuana.

Judge Leo Dobrovolny sentenced Tapia this morning to serve no less than five years and no more than ten years in prison for possession of cocaine, receiving credit for 224 days already served.

Tapia will serve an additional 90–days for possession of marijuana.

Tapia was arrested in April after police found more than 3-ounces of marijuana in the center console of his car and more than 33-grams of cocaine nearby his vehicle.
