Pearl Harbor program to feature stories from those who remember

Posted: Updated:

A Pearl Harbor remembrance service will be held this weekend at the Western Nebraska Veterans Home.

The Pearl Harbor Day program will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday December 7th, Pearl Harbor's 72nd anniversary.

The service will include musical numbers and Pearl Harbor presentations.

Part of the program will be dedicated to audience members and what they remember about that fateful day in 1941.

"That'll give the day more of a meaning, what it meant to them," says John Brehm, Director of Scotts Bluff County Veterans Services.  "You know, we've all read about it in the history books and I think we need to remember this day because it's an important day in history."

People with questions about Saturday's event can contact John Brehm at the Scotts Bluff County Veterans Service Office at (308) 436- 6643.
