Nebraska's Lt. Governor coming to panhandle

Nebraska's Lieutenant Governor will visit the panhandle this week and tour a number of area attractions.

Lt. Governor Lavon Heidemann begins his trip at the Gering Civic Center on Wednesday with remarks at the Gering Business Club's Luncheon.

Heidemann will continue his day with tours of both the Scottsbluff and Gering communities including Western Nebraska Community College, The Harmes Center, Western Nebraska Regional Airport, and Regional West Medical Center. 

Heidemann will wrap-up Wednesday with a tour of Legacy of the Plains and Scotts Bluff National Monument.

On Thursday Heidemann will visit Scottsbluff's Call Center followed by a  tour of Western Sugar.  He'll also make remarks at the Panhandle Ag Summit.  

Friday Heidemann will head out to the Mitchell community for a tour of the Brown Sheep Company. His last stop in the Panhandle will be at the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center.
