Mitchell P.D. seeking public's help to find 2nd robbery suspect

Posted: Updated:

The Mitchell Police Department is searching for the 2nd suspect believed to be involved with an armed robbery of the Kwik Stop convenience store earlier this month.

Police Chief Mike Cotant has released the following photo of 15-year-old Victor M. Gonzalez. He is believed to be the man who held the bag for the money that was stolen during the robbery.

Police have already arrested 15-year-old Dylan Cardeilhac, who is charged with robbery and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

Chief Cotant is asking that anybody who knows Gonzalez's whereabouts to contact the Scotts Bluff County Communications Center immediately by calling 436-6666.

The Kwik Stop was robbed by two masked individuals on December 3rd at approximately 1:35 a.m. Court documents say that Cardeilhac was carrying a shotgun, and Gonzalez entered the store with him.

It was estimated that robbers got away with between $70 and $150.
