On Monday, members from the WING Drug Task Force apprehended 26-year-old Adrian Sosa on an arrest warrant issued by the Wyoming Department of Corrections. He faces a variety of new charges; but the trouble for Sosa began when he was 18-years-old.

Back in 2005, Sosa was sentenced to 4 - 10 years in prison after being convicted of a felony burglary charge in Goshen County.

The court recommended him for the youthful offender boot camp program, which he completed. He was then given supervised probation for 5 years, and transferred to an A.C.C. program at one of the Department of Corrections Casper facilities.

On September 18, 2006, he escaped from the Natrona County Jail. Gering Police were able to arrest him at his Aunt's home after police searched her home.

On October 11, 2006, his probation was revoked and he was sent to the D.O.C. and was once again sentenced to 4 - 10 years, with credit of 602 days served. That sentence began on March 2, 2007.

On July 18, 2013, Sosa was approved for an inmate work release program in Gillette as part of the Volunteers of America (Wyoming) program.

On October 12, 2013, Sosa left the V.O.A. program without intent to return. His unauthorized leave classified him as an "escaped" from official custody.

On December 9, 2013, Sosa was arrested on the Wyoming warrant and has been charged with a number of additional crimes including: Felon in possession of a firearm, 3 counts of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and ‘possession of a controlled substance.

Sosa will likely be facing an additional charge of escape in Wyoming, and if reincarcerated with the Wyoming D.O.C., Sosa will have to complete the original sentence that originated back in 2005.
