Board approves Chadron Public School's "Dream Team" plan for Middle School

Posted: Updated:

A dream is coming true for one northern panhandle school district.

The Chadron Public School's "Dream Team" is a group that looks at ways to improve the district and make it safer and more functional for students.
"We put together a dream team of community volunteers to look at well, if money isn't an issue, what would you want the district to look like, what would you like it to be in 20 years?" Superintendent Dr. Caroline Winchester said.
Part of the "Dream Team" plan involved moving a play area at the middle school from the parking lot to a grassy field and creating a drop off zone for students.

That plan was recently approved by the Chadron School Board.
Another project the dream team is working on is the 'Safer Routes to School Campaign,' to encourage more students to walk to school.
