A panhandle native sets his sights on the Nebraska Governors Mansion.
Former Omaha attorney Bryan Slone announces his bid for governor today in his hometown of Gering.

Slone joins a field of six republicans and one democrat who have declared candidacy for governor in Nebraska.

Slone says he plans to build on Governor Dave Heinemann's three-point-plan of tax reform, investing in infrastructure, and ensuring equal opportunities for higher education, career training and research.
"Growing our economy and creating jobs, lowering taxes, ensuring a unique quality of life that retains our home state resources and attracts the best and the brightest.  An entrepreneurial to the world and the rest of the U.S.," says Slone.  "That's my vision and that's Nebraska's future."
Slone says he has chosen to retire as a managing partner at Deloitte Tax Omaha after 16-years to devote his full attention to pursuing elective office and serving the people of Nebraska.
