SB City Council approves preliminary plat for development

Posted: Updated:

The City of Scottsbluff approves a preliminary plat of land for a new car dealership and hotel.

The proposed businesses would be constructed at the North East corner of 27th Street and Highway–26.

Project developers Dave Schaff and Tim Reganis, of Reganis Motors, are pursuing tax increment financing to help fund the project.

Local surveyor Baker and Associates has reviewed the preliminary plat, bringing to light a number of technical issues for the city to address.

"I've got to compliment Baker and Associates on the work they did," says City Manage Rick Kuckkahn.  "It was very thorough and I think gives us a real clear idea of a number of technical things we need to work on to move along with this project."

The preliminary plat will be reviewed by the planning commission before coming back to council for final approval.
