Santa's reindeer visit KOTA Territory

Posted: Updated:

As Santa is out taking gift requests from all the children on his nice list, some of his reindeer are cozying up here in kota territory.

Two reindeer from Santa's pack were on display at Murdoch's in Scottsbluff Saturday afternoon.

Most of the others are resting before their big flight, but these two took time to entertain the crowds on Saturday.

Carla Knecht, who takes care of the reindeer during their off-season says they have a pretty relaxing time when they're not out *guiding* Santa's sleigh.

"They get to run around, and they love snow storms, its hilarious, they just out running around, and pretty much take it easy for about 11 months out of the year."

A fun fact about reindeer: they lose and re-grow their horns once a year.
