Man who lied to police following accident arrested; victim remains in critical

A Scottsbluff man is finally arrested, after lying about his identity following a traffic accident that caused serious injury.

18-year-old Andrew Hackett was arrested by Scotts Bluff County authorities on Tuesday.

Hackett was the passenger in a vehicle that struck a northbound pickup on County Road 36 last week.

During the accident report, Hackett lied about his name because he had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest.

The driver, 20 - year - old Michael Fiscus, is facing a D.U.I. charge, Willful Reckless Driving, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
 
The passenger in the other vehicle - 36 - year - old Seth Thompson of Gering, still remains in critical condition at Regional West Medical Center.
