Keep Alliance Beautiful gets creative with Christmas cards

Posted: Updated:

Now that the holiday season is wrapping up- do you add those Christmas cards to a pile you've collected over the years or throw them away?

Members of the recycling non-profit Keep Alliance Beautiful (KAB) are sharing some creative tips on how to reuse Christmas cards.

A few unique ideas are to turn them into postcards or gift tags.

But if you were still thinking of throwing them away - KAB is asking you to turn your cards into recipes.

"So that they would take the top part with the picture of the card, put the recipe on there. Mail it to our office and then we will be sharing those recipes with the people on our Facebook page and our website. E-mailing the recipes as well." Said Melissa Cordell, Environmental Education Specialist.

Starting today until the end of January, anyone can send their favorite recipes to the Keep Alliance Beautiful office at 224 Box Butte Avenue.
