Posted: Updated:

The teen accused of robbing a Mitchell convenience store at gunpoint has pled not guilty today in Scotts Bluff County District Court.

15-year-old Dylan Cardeilhac is being charged with robbery and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

The Kwik Stop was robbed by two masked individuals on December 3rd at approximately 1:35 a.m. One was carrying a shotgun, and the other had a plastic bag to collect all the money from the cash register.

Cardeilhac bragged about his role on Facebook, and a school resource officer turned him into authorities.

An evidentiary meeting has been scheduled for January 16th, a pretrial conference for February 20th, and a jury trial has been slated to start on March 3rd.

The defense asked for a reduction in bail, but due to the seriousness of the crime, bond remains at $750,000.

If convicted, Cardeilhac is facing a minimum of six years behind bars.
