Hundreds of gym-goers attend YMCA's 'Fitness Launch Party'

Posted: Updated:

Instructors at the Scottsbluff Family YMCA hosted a fitness launch party for gym-goers to introduce new workout classes that will begin next week.

Fitness Director Lola Gonzales says it's important to exercise to keep yourself eating. She suggests if we want to eat, it doesn't hurt to exercise while keeping a healthy diet.

On Saturday, instructors gave 30 minute previews of what classes members or non-members can sign-up for and take throughout the year.

Gym-goers worked up a sweat and danced to music in one step class. Participant Leticia Lopez says the class really got her blood pumping.

"It's really high intensity, it's a good workout, a good core workout and I really enjoy it." Said Lopez.

Gonzales spoke about all the new classes that will be introduced.

"How exciting is that, we have the pilates, the step classes, the zumbas, motion in cycle. There's just so many classes and people want to taste classes that they're doing today. To figure out which ones that they're going to come into." Smiled Gonzales.

Gonzales says anyone interested in learning more about fitness classes can visit or call the YMCA at 308-635-2318.
