Scottsbluff names new city planner

Posted: Updated:

A panhandle native has been named Scottsbluff's new city planner.

The city's current 'storm water specialist,' Annie Folck, assumes her new position as city planner today.

Folck is replacing former city planner Marlin Johnson, who resigned in August.

Folck says her degree is in civil engineering so she thinks the position will be a good fit.

"I'm really looking forward to continuing work on the downtown," says Folck.  "Once we're done with that, I'm hoping we can start focusing on some of our other business districts like 27th Street and East Overland."

Folck has served as the city's 'storm water specialist' for the last four years and says she's most enjoyed working on planning–related projects during that time.
