Dalton father/son duo accused of threatening people with gun

Posted: Updated:

Cheyenne County authorities have arrested a father/son duo from Dalton, who are both accused of threatening to shoot people who they believed entered their dump truck.

44-year-old William Jackson and 19-year-old Jonathon Jackson are being charged with use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and making terroristic threats.

Court documents say that Jonathon Jackson saw some people in the dump truck that his family owns, but fled before they could be contacted. Jackson says 30 minutes later, he noticed 3 males walking north of his residence. Those men said they were simply out walking to a friends house.

While the 3 men were at their friends house, Jonathon Jackson entered the residence and told the home owner "I'll blow holes in your chest right now." Witnesses say that he was holding a handgun.

Several days later, William Jackson stopped them and told them to stop getting his truck. He then allegedly pointed a revolver at them and threatened to beat them and shoot them if they stepped foot onto his property again. He also said that he was "just crazy enough to do it."

Both Jackson's appeared in County Court this week and waived their preliminary hearing. An arraignment has been scheduled for January 14th in Cheyenne County District Court.
