Two-day Scottsbluff job fair offers on-the-spot hiring

Posted: Updated:
The unemployment rate in Nebraska is steadily declining, and a job fair held Monday is helping more people in the area find jobs.

Today was the first of a two-day job fair held at the Nebraska Department of Labor in Scottsbluff.

Cozad based "Call Center Branch" (CCB) is hosting the fair, and looking for people interested in at-home work.

Alisha Schau, CCB On-site Manager, says the jobs are available for anyone, but can be especially ideal for stay-at-home-parents or people who are unable to travel from home.

Schau says she is doing on-the-spot hiring, and there are many ways for people to apply.

"If they are interested they can go to the Nebraska Workforce Website and the link is there to apply. Or they can stop into the Work Force and there are apps here, or they can email me their resume."

Tuesday's job fair will be held at the Workforce office in the State Office Building on Broadway from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Resumes can be sent to aschau@ccbne.com more information is available at https://neworks.nebraska.gov.
