This non-powered product design comes on the heels of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) October ruling that, "airlines can safely expand passenger use of Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) during all phases of flight."

"We are extremely excited to partner with a company as solid as Satterfield Aerospace," said Brian Queenin, President of SmartTray. "They are an established company with excellent credentials in the aerospace industry for solving problems. Their design and engineering capabilities are world class," he added.

Satterfield Aerospace President John Satterfield said, "SmartTray has a very innovative product design, which we feel presents a very rich market opportunity for us. We are very happy to have a partnership with such an innovative company like SmartTray."

With millions of travelers bringing their own devices with them on airplanes, the X2 product provides safe, easy, and cost effective stowage of Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) above and below 10,000 feet. This allows passengers the ability to use their own devices gate-to-gate in accordance with FAA regulations. "The SmartTray X2 comes at a perfect time with the recent regulatory change, providing airlines an FAA-compliant and economical way to provide safe stowage of PEDs while enhancing the total customer experience," said Nick Pajic, CEO and Founder of SmartTray.
