RWMC receives grant for new option in prenatal care

Posted: Updated:

The March of Dimes shows its support for a new option in prenatal care offered by the Women's Center at Regional West.

The Women's Center has been awarded a check for more than $2,500 from the March of Dimes to support it's new 'centering pregnancy program'.

Instead of traditional one-on-one prenatal appointments, the centering pregnancy program consists of a small group of expectant mothers who meet with an OB provider for regularly scheduled group sessions.

Each session is two hours long and includes check-ups, support and education.

For more information on the program, contact the Women's Clinic at Regional West Medical Center.

That number is (308) 635 - 3033.
