Trial date set for one of two accused Mitchell meth dealers

A trial date has been set for one of two men charged in a meth bust that took place in early January in Mitchell.

On Friday, 25-year-old Joseph Lowery was arraigned on one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

District Judge Leo Dobrovolny set the case for a pretrial hearing on April 24th, and is slated to go to trial in the jury term that starts on May 5th.

Judge Dobrovolny reduced his bond from $140,000 to $100,000 at 10%.

On January 10th, police found more than 18–ounces of methamphetamine inside a Mitchell residence allegedly shared by Lowery and George Valles.
