Reading contest at Alliance Public Library for 'Library Lover's Month'

Posted: Updated:

Love is in the air or at least at your fingertips this month at the Alliance public library. February is "Library Lover's Month."

The staff at the Alliance library is celebrating the theme with an annual reading contest.

Library Director Stephanie O'Connor says the contest is to celebrate the patrons of the library but also to encourage visitors to come on in.

There's still time to pick up a book and start reading. She says the contest ends on February 12th.
"We're doing the Library Lover's reading contest and you're reading any book that has to do with love and put in an entry form and you might be the winner of some Alliance Chamber bucks." Said O'Connor.

By winning Alliance Chamber bucks, people can use the money locally for a good cause O'Connor went on to say.

The library is also having an ice cream social on February 13th to celebrate its members and visitors.
