New fitness center already talking about future expansion

Posted: Updated:

People in the Northern panhandle now have a new place to 'get their fitness on'.
The panhandle 24-7 fitness center opened its doors in Chadron on January first, just in time for people to take advantage of their new year's resolutions.

The fitness center is an extension of the panhandle event center, and offers 24 hour gym access.

Facilities Manager Michael Lecher says in its first month of operation, the new fitness center has been well-received by the community.  He already has his sights set on expanding.
"We're looking at expanding right through this wall here," says Lecher.  "When we expand through that wall we're going to have a multi-purpose room that we can use for cross-fit, we can use for personal training, we can use it for classes, there's going to be a lot of stuff we can do with that multi purpose room."
The panhandle 24-7 fitness center is also a sponsor and weigh-in center for the panhandle's "Bee Fit" weight loss challenge.
