A woman who had an outstanding Scotts Bluff County warrant for marijuana possession is facing more serious charges after getting caught with methamphetamine while being booked into the Correction Center.

A Scottsbluff Police Officer noticed a woman exit a vehicle near 8th Avenue late Monday night who looked like 25-year-old Katrina Ramos- who had several outstanding arrest warrants.

The officer was given a fake name and date of birth from the woman, but was able to confirm it was Ramos from a recent jail booking photo.

When she arrived at the police station, the officer noticed a digital scale on the floorboard of the cruiser. When she was being transported to jail, he found a glass pipe with white residue near her.

At the jail, a strip search was conducted, and seven bags containing methamphetamine were found in a body cavity.

The seven bags contained a total weight of four grams of methamphetamine.

She was arrested on outstanding charges of child neglect and possession of marijuana over one ounce. In addition, she is now charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and providing false information.
