More laptops will be coming to KOTA Territory classrooms.

The Scottsbluff Public School board approved the purchase of 65 new laptops for teachers at the high school.

The purchase is part of a four-year plan to phase-out desktop computers in classrooms.

David Davis, Director of Technology for the school district, says by the end of the school year, every certified teacher will have their own laptop.

"This will give the teachers a little bit more mobility within their classrooms, within their buildings, and within the district," Davis said.

At the end of this school year, nearly 300 desktop computers will have been replaced with laptops for the teachers.
