More than a dozen representatives show for WNCC transfer fair

Posted: Updated:

Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) students thinking about furthering their education are checking–out their options.

Representatives from more than a dozen Midwestern colleges, universities, and trade schools are at WNCC today for the college's bi–annual ‘transfer fair'.

It's a great way for prospective students to look at available opportunities for continuing their education.

Clarkson College representative Stefanie Skrdlar says this year's turn out has been pretty good.

"There were actually a handful of students that came-up from the Sidney Campus too," says Skrdlar.  "So there was a group of them who were specifically focused on health care and that's what our institution represents.  So that was nice."

According to data published by the ‘National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, 60-percent of community college students who transfer, go–on to eventually attain their bachelor degrees.
