Sugar Valley Singers serenade for Valentine's Day

Posted: Updated:

Several people in the panhandle were serenaded today by the Sugar Valley Singers.
The barber shop-style singing group surprised the staff at Regional West Medical Center's Histology Lab this morning.

The singing Valentine graham, complete with two love songs, chocolate, and red roses, was ordered by a former employee of the department, much to the surprise of the other staffers.

Dan Clark, a member of the Sugar Valley Singers says they receive a mix of reactions when they deliver their singing Valentine's grahams.
"Most of them, just like the folks here at the histology lab here at our hospital are very appreciative and think its kind of a novelty, and I think they have a good time. Sometimes, we have people that have no idea their spouse has bought a Valentine and they're embarrassed and even a little bit irritated, but we have to suffer through that."
The Sugar Valley Singers have been harmonizing together in the panhandle for nearly 40 years.
