Posted: Updated:

A Sidney man has received the maximum possible prison sentence for his role in a 2012 murder.

36-year-old Billy Fields was sentenced this week to 20 to 60 months in prison, after pleading guilty to being an accessory to a felony.

Fields drove convicted murderer Jason Custer to a hotel room the night that Custer shot and killed Adam McCormick.

Jason Custer was convicted of first degree murder earlier this month, and will be sentenced to life in prison on March 18th.
