Senior Services Center has new advisory board committee

Posted: Updated:

The Senior Services Center in Alliance has a new advisory board committee.
On Tuesday, the city of Alliance officially took over the center after former leaseholder Senior Services Inc. did not renew a facility contract.

The following day, more than 30 people were on hand for the first meeting under the city's management and to also welcome the newly selected five-member advisory board committee.

Board members appointed Scott Miller as chairman, Joyce Christensen as vice chairman and Beth Bourn as secretary. Pete Taylor and Leah King round out the last two members.
The five members of the advisory board say they are excited to start a new chapter with the facility and with the seniors of Alliance.
