Bridgeport man facing serious charges in federal indictment

A Bridgeport man is facing up to 30-years in prison after getting charged last week in a two-count Federal Indictment.

62-year-old Wesley A. Roberts was named in an indictment last week from the U.S. Attorney's Office of Nebraska.

Count I of the Indictment charges Roberts with receipt and distribution of child pornography from at least on or about September 17, 2013, and continuing to on or about January 7, 2014.  The maximum possible penalty if convicted is imprisonment of 20 years, a $250,000 fine, supervised release for Life, and a $100 special assessment.

Roberts is charged in Count II of the Indictment with possession of child pornography on or about January 7, 2014. The maximum possible penalty if convicted is imprisonment of 10 years, a $250,000 fine, supervised release for life, and a $100 special assessment.

The indictment also alleges any and all property constituting or derived from any proceeds obtained directly or indirectly as a result of the violations, including but not limited to: One Samsung Tracphone, should be forfeited to the United States.
