Cardeilhac appears in court Wednesday morning for murder, robbery charges

The teen accused of murdering a Corrections Officer at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center was back in court Wednesday for two separate cases.

15-year-old Dylan Cardeilhac appeared in court for charges relating to both first degree murder and armed robbery.

Cardeilhac first waived his right to a preliminary hearing in County Court for charges relating to the February murder of 24-year-old Corrections Officer Amanda Baker.

Cardeilhac will be arraigned on the first degree murder charge March 17th in district court.

A charge of first degree assault causing serious bodily injury was dismissed.

Cardeilhac then appeared in district court for an armed robbery charge stemming from a December robbery of the Mitchell Qwik Stop.

Judge Randall Lippstreu set a July 7th trial date for that robbery charge.
15-year-old Cardeilhac is being charged as an adult in both cases
