GOP Senate candidate visits Scottsbluff on two-day tour

Posted: Updated:

A Nebraska Senate candidate visited the panhandle for the third time this week talking to residents about his views on the Affordable Care Act.
Republican Ben Sasse of Fremont held a town hall anti-Obamacare meeting last night in Scottsbluff.

More than 45 people were on hand to hear the candidate's views and ask questions on how he plans to change Washington.

Sasse says he's not running against the other candidates but rather running for the future of the younger generation and to inform others how the Affordable Care Act hurts more than helps.
"Obamacare is an attack on religious liberty," Sasse said. "Deep in that law are regulations that have you all subsidizing abortion for the first time in U.S. history for the first time as of two months ago. We're 41 years in Roe vs. Wade regimen but never before have you all been force to subsidize abortion. But now as a part of Obamacare you are."
Sasse is one of five GOP candidates in the race for U.S. Senate.
