Chadron State College football player arrested for 1st Degree Sexual Assault

A Chadron State football player has been arrested on a charge of First Degree Sexual Assault.

On Tuesday, the Chadron Police Department received a report of a sexual assault which had occurred in the evening hours of Monday, March 3, 2014.

Investigator Bryan Linegar conducted several interviews, served search warrants, and gathered evidence in the case. 

The result of the investigation led to the arrest of 19-year-old Tre' M. Brown, of Donaldsonville, Louisiana.

Brown was placed under arrest and taken to the Dawes County Jail on a charge of First Degree Sexual Assault. The charge is a Class II Felony and bond was set at 10% of $250,000. If convicted on the charge, he faces a prison sentence ranging from 1 to 50 years.

Brown is listed as a sophomore Defensive Back for the Eagles on the 2014 roster.
