Jon Bruning to campaign in Panhandle for next two days

Nebraska's Attorney General is looking to stay in public office by succeeding Governor Dave Heineman.

Jon Bruning will be campaigning here in the Panhandle on Thursday and Friday to try to emerge as Nebraska's next governor.

Currently, there are six Republicans- including Bruning- in the gubernatorial race. Democrat Chuck Hassebrook and Libertarian Mark Elworth are also running to replace Heineman, who is being ousted due to term limits.

Bruning's schedule is as follows:

Thursday, March 13

8:30-9:30am MT: CHADRON - Meet & Greet at the Bean Broker, 202 West 2nd Street, Chadron

3:00-4:00pm MT: KIMBALL - Meet & Greet at the Diner, 1708 South Hwy 71, Kimball

5:00-6:00pm MT: SIDNEY - Meet & Greet at Hillside Bar and Grill, 2632 Hillside Drive, Sidney

Friday, March 14

8:00-9:00am MT: OGALLALA - Meet & Greet at The Lampstand Coffee Shop, 112 North Spruce Street, Ogallala

12:00-1:00pm MT: ALLIANCE - Meet & Greet at Newberry's Common Ground Coffee, 104 West 4th Street, Alliance

2:00-3:15pm MT: SCOTTSBLUFF/GERING - Meet & Greet at Backarack's Bar and Grill, 1402 East 20th Street, Scottsbluff
