The annual 4-H Expo was held in Mitchell at the Scotts bluffCounty Fairgrounds, with multiple clubs coming together to show off the activitiesand experiences that they offer.

The 4-H program is for kids ages five to nineteen who arehoping to find and further explore the things they are good at.

Jana Schwartz, 4-H assistant says the most important part of the club is that it gets kids involved.
"One of the positives of the 4-H program with the learn by doing is that all of our projects are hands-on, so a lot of kids that maybe struggle in school with the sitting and listening, 4-H is a great way where they can actually get in and learn things by doing them themselves," said Schwartz.

There are about 700 members in the traditional 4-H program and 20 clubs within the organization.

Half of those clubs were represented at the expo with kids and their families proudly displaying some of the projects they were involved in.
Schwartz says 4-H's motto is, "make the best better" and feels that today's event was a push in the right direction.
