Cardeilhac murder trial transferred to Box Butte County judge

A new judge has been appointed for the murder trial of 15-year-old Dylan Cardeilhac.

Today in Scotts Bluff County Court, Todd Lancaster from the Nebraska Department of Public Advocacy appeared with Cardeilhac for his arraignment. 

District Judge Leo Dobrovolny announced that Box Butte County District  Judge Travis O'Gorman will now be handling the case.

A pretrial conference has been scheduled for May 22nd.

Cardeilhac is accused of killing Scotts Bluff County Corrections Officer on February 14th, after allegedly luring her into his cell.

He is being charged with 1st Degree Murder, and 16-year-old Guy Eagle Elk is being charged as an accomplice in the case.
