A police report filed by the Scottsbluff Police Department reveals more information about the 14-year-old student who was caught with a knife at school.

On Wednesday morning, Darrion Estrada was brought into the principal's office because he was late to school. When Principal Dr. Andrew Dick was talking to him, he saw a knife clip hanging outside his pocket. Estrada handed over the knife, but when he was asked to hand over his black backpack to be searched for further contraband, Estrada ran away.

Officer apprehended Estrada in an alley in the 2200 block between Avenue B and C. When he was asked about the contents in the bag, Estrada said there were two more knives in the bag - including a switch blade - and he did not want to turn them in.

The backpack has yet to be located. Anybody who comes across a black Adidas track bag is asked to call police immediately.

Estrada is being charged with carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing a peace officer.
