Cheyenne County woman arraigned on charges of helping kill her husband

A Sidney woman accused of helping kill her husband has been formally charged in Cheyenne County District Court.

53 - year - old Deann Kimble is charged with Assisting Suicide and Concealing Human Skeletal Remains- both Class IV Felonies.

Court documents say that on Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the Igloo Storage area for the unattended death of 61 - year - old Russell Kimble.

The investigation reveals that Deann and Russell had an agreement that when they married that he was going to die on his own accord. On Saturday, March 22nd Russell rolled himself in a shower curtain and used a youth-sized shotgun to end his life. At the time, Deann went into their van, turned the volume up on the radio and listened to two songs. When she went back, she knew Russell was deceased.

She wrapped his remains in the shower curtain, tied him to the van, and dragged his body down the road and dumped his body on the side of the road. She covered his body with gravel, dirt and firewood.

When investigators found the body, a Sergeant with the Cheyenne County Sheriff's office noticed a gunshot wound to the face of Russell's body.

If convicted, Deann Kimble could face up to 10 years on the charges. A pretrial conference is scheduled for April 18th at 9 a.m. A motion to reduce bond was denied by District Judge Derek Weimer.
