Air Link's Chief Flight Nurse ready for takeoff

Posted: Updated:

The Chief Flight Nurse for Air Link will be taking off later this month for some advanced training.
Tracy Meyer has been selected nationally as the 2014 recipient of the Medical Transport Leadership Institute Scholarship.

The two year program consists of only two full weeks in a classroom based in West Virginia.
The rest of the time she will be preparing and studying before becoming CMTE certified.
Meyer says the skills she will learn will be beneficial to her and the entire Air Link team.
"I think its going to help us manage our crews with technology," explains Meyer. "It goes over managing personnel, what equipment is needed, crew rest, fatigue- all elements of medical transport. It covers all those elements in one class."
The scholarship will pay for her entire tuition, and she will head out for year one of training at the end of April .
