One of two men charged in a meth bust that took place in early January in Mitchell has been granted a bond reduction this morning in Scotts Bluff County District Court.

Joseph Lowery is being charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

On January 10th police found more than 18–ounces of methamphetamine inside a Mitchell residence allegedly shared by Lowery and George Valles.

Today, Judge Leo Dobrovolny reduced Lowery's bond from $100,000 to $75,000, and set a motion to suppress hearing for April 30th. Lowery also had to sign a waiver of extradition.

A pretrial conference has been pushed back until May 22nd, and the case is set to go to trial now in the June jury term.
