Dylan Cardeilhac to undergo mental health evaluation later this month

The teen charged with killing a Scotts Bluff County Corrections Officer will be transported to Papillion later this month for a mental health evaluation.

15-year-Dylan Cardeilhac is charged with First Degree Murder, after luring 24-year-old Amanda Baker into his cell on February 14th. Surveillance video shows the teen jumping on her back and choking her well after she collapsed.

On April 29th, Cardeilhac is scheduled to be transported to the offices of Dr. Kirk Newring Ph.D for a mental health evaluation. He will be evaluated for two days, and return on April 30th.

A pretrial conference for Cardeilhac is still scheduled for May 22nd in Scotts Bluff County District Court.
