It's deja vu for a 27-year-old Gering man arrested Tuesday morning on a new series of meth related drug charges.

Wesley Vandever was arrested Tuesday after a Scottsbluff Police officer noticed the plates on his SUV did not match the vehicle.

When they pulled him over in the YMCA parking lot, officers saw him reaching toward his pants pocket. After being placed into handcuffs, they found several hypodermic syringes that had methamphetamine in them.

He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vandever was also arrested in a similar incident back in December after getting caught driving with a suspended driver's license.

During that incident, officers found a bandana with a glass pipe with white residue in it. While he was being booked into the county jail, a syringe fell from Vandever to the ground.

He was charged with distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, driving under suspension, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
